Welcome to the Getting Started guide for new users of UpdateStar Premium Edition. This guide is intended for people who want to start using UpdateStar Premium. In three simple steps we will guide you through the process of installing and activating UpdateStar Premium on your PC. This will enable you to keep your PC's software current at any time - for optimized PC security.

Three steps to set up UpdateStar Premium Edition

Getting started with UpdateStar Premium is straight-forward and a five minute investment. But you will profit from the service UpdateStar Premium provides every day.

Step 1: Download, install and launch UpdateStar

Please visit our download page to download the installation file. Free and Premium use the same installer.

Afterwards follow the installation wizard instructions and finish the installation on your PC.

Now you can launch UpdateStar for the first time on your computer, for example by double-clicking on the UpdateStar icon on your desktop.

Step 2: Get your license for UpdateStar Premium Edition

Once you received your Premium License via email you can enter the license code under the "Premium Edition" menu of the UpdateStar client.

Step 3: Scan for available updates

Now you can begin with your first scan for available updates for all of your programs by clicking on the "Update Programs" icon in the menu. Alternatively you can use the "Search for updates" button in the center of the "Start page". The first scan will also activate your Premium Trial License.

The scan for updates will finish after a short while and the scan results will be shown. You may start to download available updates shown by clicking on the program names or switching the view to "Program List" in the menu.

That's it. UpdateStar Premium delivers your updates as well as minor upgrades right on your PC from now on.
